And that made his death thousand times worse.

My father was a man full of life and happiness.

Despite being of retirement age, he continued teaching because he liked to feel active and useful to society. He hardly spent time at home because his days were full of activities and charity work.

In 2018, he was diagnosed for the second time with colon cancer.

My family and I were very positive about this situation because the doctor told us that it was going to be a simple operation, and my dad had taken a good attitude about it.

“Like 15 years ago, it will only be an operation to remove cancer, and then we will give you some chemotherapy sessions,” the doctor said.

We wasted no time, and within a month, my father was in the surgery room.

After the operation, the picture changed a bit. The doctor couldn’t remove the cancer because it was bigger than he expected, and doing so was going to be very dangerous for my father.

But they began to give us options.

They told us that with a few chemotherapy sessions, the size of cancer would decrease and that my father would improve over time.
