5 common reasons why people don’t travel
Leaving the Coronavirus aside, people have many excuses not to travel. The reality is that if the person really wanted to travel they would find a way to, and most of those excuses are not as valid as they think. If you love to travel, there is no need to let your dreams pass you by as you keep postponing things.
Here are some of the most common excuses people give for not traveling and why they are mostly false:
“I don't have enough money”
There are so many places where you can go without spending so much money, if you make a good itinerary and do some research for offers, you will figure out that you can travel to many places and have fun on a budget.
People always associate travel with luxury hotels and restaurants, but I think that most of the good places that you can visit and the best experiences are free places.
“I don’t have time”
Everyone can have vacations, no matter how much work you have, or how difficult it is to find free time, there is always a way to have free time. Most workplaces allow their employees at least two weeks of paid vacation, and if not, you can work and save money for a few days. If you don’t even have two weeks out of the year to treat yourself, you are doing something wrong.
You need to find a moment to treat yourself and rest, not all in the world is work. Remember that life is short, so try to do as many things that you love as you can.
“I don't have a partner trip”
Currently is very popular traveling alone. If you don't want to do it maybe it is because and you are afraid and don't want to take the risk, but the truth is that is safe (depending on the country that you wanted to go) and it’s an excellent opportunity to know yourself and know the things that you really enjoy.
Also, just like you, there are a lot of people that don't have a partner trip, and you can meet a lot of people around the world while you travel.
“I don't like to travel”
How can you know that you don’t like something if you have never tried it? There is a country for all the tastes. Maybe you don't like the culture from one place, but I'm sure that there is a country for you and what you like.
You don’t have to travel to the popular places that everyone is traveling, you can search for options that are better for you.
“I have other projects in my life”
Traveling doesn’t have to be an obstacle for your other projects, remember that you can travel to a place with only 3–4 days a year, you have others 361 days to work on all the things that you have in mind.
Traveling is not just about enjoying and spending time, it is also an opportunity to meet and learn. If you are passionate about this, stop making excuses that are not worth it, and start thinking about how you can achieve each of those trips.
